Women and vulva owners everywhere know that maintaining vaginal health can feel like a full-time job. I’m talking about periods, pH, and skin irritation. That’s right, our vulva and vagina need a lot of maintenance and deserve some serious pampering. Momotaro Apatheca claims to have created a line of natural, organic products that do just that, and they gave me the opportunity to try them all. So, I did, and I’ve got a lot to say.
What is Momotaro Apotheca?
Momotaro Apoethca is a certified organic, cruelty-free vulva and vaginal healthcare line that is designed to support your body’s natural ability to heal. Their line of products includes the Momotaro Salve, The Suppository, The Momotaro Probiotic, The Tonic, the Hydrosol, and the Momotaro Body Oil.
Each of these products has a specific purpose. Some address vaginal health issues that cause odor, itching, burning, and vaginal discomfort including PH imbalances that result in yeast and bacterial vaginosis infections, some address skin issues that lead to pain and irritation, and some do a bit of everything.
Here is the rundown of my experience using all of the Momotaro Apotheca products.
Momotaro Salve Review
Momotaro Salve is one of the first and most popular products created by the company. This salve was created to “do it all”. It can be used to soothe dry, irritated skin anywhere on your body, but it’s specifically made so that it is safe to apply directly to your vulva.
The Ingredients
Momotaro contains the following ingredients in its 1oz container:

· Organic Kokum Butter
· Organic Beeswax
· Organic Jojoba
· Organic Tea Tree
· Organic Goldenseal
· Organic Echinacea
· Organic Calendula
· Organic Oregon Grape
Each ingredient has its purpose. The Coconut and Jojoba Oil base is designed to protect and support the skin’s natural moisture barrier so you avoid the irritation associated with dryness, sex, and chaffing from clothing and exercise. Goldenseal, Echinacea, and Calendula are all anti-inflammatories and are included to address symptoms associated with yeast and bacterial infections.
The Tea Tree Oil adds a wonderfully cooling sensation that feels particularly lovely on raw or agitated skin.
My Experience
The salve comes in a small round jar. It’s soft and has a creamy consistency that spreads smoothly over your skin. You are meant to use about a pea size and apply it directly on your vulva.
I find the scent (heavily leaning toward Tea Tree) pleasant and refreshing. I applied it to my newly lasered (hair removal) vulva and instantly delighted in the sensation. The salve absorbed nicely into my skin so that I didn’t feel sticky or goopy. I also noticed that after a couple of days of using it, I experienced less irritation along my bikini line where I often get bumps and chaffing from my panty line.
While I didn’t experience BV, a yeast infection, or any other vaginal health issue while using the salve, I can say that I highly recommend using it regularly after showering or any activity that causes chafing. The cooling and moisturizing effects are incredible and the salve leaves me feeling fresh and sexy throughout the day.

Momotaro Hydrosol
The Hydrosol is my favorite Momotaro product. This pH balancing micromist is made to be used on the face, body, and vulva. I save mine specifically for my vulva because my pussy deserves a little special treatment.

My Experience
I use this product after my shower every day. I absolutely love the gorgeous slightly floral with a hint of spice scent. Note: there are absolutely no scents added to the mist so it is 100% safe for your pussy.
But, where the hydrosol really excels is at those moments when you need a refresh, but don’t have the time or ability to get one. For example, more often than not, I don’t have time to shower after the gym which sets me up for throwing my vagina’s pH all out of whack and negatively affecting my vaginal health. Now, I simply bring some extra undies and my hydrosol and I feel instantly refreshed and have had exactly zero issues with yeast infections.
This summer, Momotaro’s hydrosol has been my vulva’s best friend. With the heat working overtime, I use the spray midday to freshen up and cool down, down there. I also use it regularly after sex.

My Experience
I put about 10 droppers full of tonic into a warm bath for a soak. The tonic makes for a wonderful and refreshing addition to any bath. I’ve also used it on razor rash and found it to be soothing.
If you are sensitive to bath oils or salts with scents, Momotaro tonic is a great replacement that feels just as luxurious without the vaginal irritation after.
Momotaro Body Oil

My Experience
